Central Massachusetts ASTD Annual Report
2005-2006
The Central Massachusetts Chapter of ASTD, or
CMASTD, had a very successful year in 2006. We met our planned goals and were
very pleased with the attendance at our seasonal events, our new members and
high percentage of renewal memberships, as well as the very favorable reaction
to our programming for the year.
Our Goals during 2006
Included:
- Increasing our membership by at least 10% and reaching a broad range
of geographic and industry attendees / members
- Identifying and securing at least one new Educational Partnership
for the chapter
- Offer our members a mix of events which would include: evening
meetings, half-day workshops and one full-day developmental workshop event
- Joint-Sponsorship of at least one CMASTD event
- Concluding the 2005 – 2006 season with a well-known industry
presenter that would offer the community a current and impactful learning
experience
Attainment of Goals / Successes:
- Membership was
increased by over 10%
- Attendees represented
both members and non-members from a wide range of industries and geographic
locations
- A new Educational
Partner was added: The University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute at
Shrewsbury, MA

Financial Status
- We began and ended our
season in the “black”
- We did incur a higher
level of expenditures than income, due in part to a the unavoidable
cancellation of our January event
Membership Statistics

October 2005 with 71 members
- We ended the season in
May of 2006 with 65 members
